IRC

From WikiHeist, the unofficial MacHeist wiki

Jump to: navigation, search
"Welcome. Welcome to #macheist. You have chosen, or been invited to join the most active section of the Macheist Community. I thought so much of #macheist that I elected to establish myself here, with the operator privileges so thoughtfully provided by our benefactors (Neko and DrTaru). So whether you're here to stay, or just passing through in your search for hints, welcome. Welcome to #macheist. It's smarter here."

Some members of Mac Heist started an IRC channel at irc.macnn.com.
The channel was originally started, after a discussion on the forums, by neko who managed Chanserv and op access.
The channel achieved some fame when it was linked to on the front page of macheist.com for a short period, and user numbers approached 200.
The channel has since moved to irc://irc.moofspeak.net/#macheist and Mibbit Chat is the preferred connection choice.

The IRC is unofficial as of 2/13/09

This is the preferred method of connecting, it is also preferred that you use the chat link at the bottom of the main macheist page.

Just enter a username, and it should connect.

This is the most common IRC client for mac users.

Connecting to the channel:
